• Supply-Demand Balance: The raw material market for graphite electrodes is stable, and some manufacturers have slightly increased production to meet potential orders. On the demand side, steel mills have maintained moderate procurement volumes (no large-scale incremental purchases), keeping supply and demand in equilibrium.
• Technological Backing: Since 2025, enterprises like Jingsheng Co., Ltd. and Zhongke Electric have secured patents for “graphite electrode resistance heating design” and “graphite electrode cooling systems,” respectively. These innovations have improved product performance and optimized costs, providing long-term support for market growth.

Magnesium Carbon Brick Capacity Expansion Approved, Regional Chain Synergized

In the refractory materials sector, a key capacity expansion project in Hebei Province (China) has been finalized, signaling strong demand driven by the rise of electric arc furnace steelmaking.

Hebei Guoliang New Materials Co., Ltd.’s “20,000 t/a Magnesium Carbon Brick Capacity Expansion & Renovation Project” recently obtained official filing approval from the Development and Reform Bureau of Kaiping District, Tangshan City. Upon completion, the project will boost China’s high-end magnesium carbon brick output—critical for electric arc furnace linings—to align with the industry’s green low-carbon shift.

Concurrently, Hebei-based steelmakers such as Chengde Jianlong Special Steel Co., Ltd. have released magnesium carbon brick procurement tenders in October. This “capacity expansion + local procurement” linkage strengthens regional industrial chain coordination and ensures a stable supply of refractory materials for steel production.
