Brief Analysis of Global Steel Foreign Trade Market in Q1 2026

Since 2026, the pattern of global steel trade has shown regional divergence. According to customs data, China’s steel exports declined year-on-year in January and February. With the gradual recovery of overseas demand in March, exports showed a month-on-month rebound.

On the international market, demand in the Middle East remains firm. However, affected by the geopolitical situation, shipping risks have risen, along with increased freight costs and war risk insurance premiums. Demand in Southeast Asia has temporarily weakened due to Ramadan, and is expected to gradually recover after April. Meanwhile, global trade protectionism continues to intensify. Many countries such as South Africa and Mexico have imposed anti-dumping measures on Chinese steel products, and the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has also kept pushing up export costs.

Faced with the complex and volatile foreign trade environment, JISteel will continue to optimize its product structure focusing on copper tubes, sliding gate plates & nozzles, and thyristors, further deepen key markets including Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and strictly control logistics and trade risks. With stable and reliable products and services, we provide global customers with one-stop supply solutions for steel metallurgical equipment.
